The Kenora Public Library will be closed on Good Friday,
April 14th and Easter Monday, April 17th. Both library branches
will be open on Saturday, April 15th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Have a happy Easter!
Be sure and drop in to our Children's Department and pick up a copy of the April calendar. Erika has some wonderful stories picked out for storytimes. "Dragons Love Tacos" by Adam Rubin is so much fun! Can you guess what happens when some taco-loving dragons accidentaly put spicy salsa on their tacos?
Gardening season is fast approaching! Now is the time to donate flower and vegetable seeds to the Ivy Camire Seed Library. We are hoping to increase the variety of seeds that we have available to lend. We will accept donations of any seeds that you might have available...seeds saved from last year...leftover seeds that you bought this year.
We need your help to grow our library!
Celebrate your future!
Every year, we ask young Canadians from 8 to 18 years old across Canada to submit their best, most dynamic drawings, photos or pieces of creative writing.
The Challenge is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2017, along with Canada's 150th anniversary! Over 350,000 participants from across Canada have taken up the Challenge since 1987, and this year young Canadians are encouraged to join in and share with us their vision of the future for themselves and for Canada!
The winners will receive great prizes, including 1 of 3 all-expenses paid trip for two to Ottawa to celebrate Canada Day 2017 and the 150th celebrations on Parliament Hill: meet some of Canada's most inspiring people, tour museums, galleries, the iconic Parliament Buildings and be part of a special summer exhibit at the Canadian Museum of History. You will get a VIP experience to the amazing Canada 150 celebrations!

Do you have a travel story that you would like to share? Maybe you know someone who has some great photos from their last vacation? We are looking for people who would like to be presenters in our Kenora Library Travel Series. Give us a call at 467-2081 and learn more about being a travel presenter.
Can't make it to the library? Let us come to you! Homebound Delivery Service is now available to members of the Kenora Public Library. Kenora residents may request home services if they are unable to visit the library due to advanced age, temporary (lasting longer than 30 days) or permanent illness or disability, and have no one who can visit the library on their behalf.
Materials from our collection are selected by qualified staff based on your preferences and requests. Screened volunteers pick-up and deliver your library materials (books, movies, audiobooks, magazines, etc.) once a month. There is no charge for this service.
For more information or to register, please call the Kenora Branch at 467-2081.
